a storm of wind. a squall. On the former occasion it was an earthquake(Greek. seismos). Here it was lailaps.

on. on to. Greek eis. App-104. were filled were being swamped. Imperf. tense. Hence this was an open boat; in Matthew. decked boat.

were in jeopardy. were beginning to be in danger:
