To account for various readings, the Revised Version sometimes appeals in the margin to ancient authorities, meaning Greek MSS., &c, but here, and here only, modern interpreters are allowed to introduce, by varying punctuation, devices for destroying this emphatic testimony to the Deity of the Lord.
