1 Corinthians 15:21 - Matthew Poole's English Annotations on the Holy Bible

Bible Comments

Since by one man, viz. Adam, (who is also styled the son of God. Luke 3:38, because he had neither father nor mother), came man's subjection to mortality, sicknesses, and death here, and eternal death and misery in another world; it pleased God that by one, who though he was the eternal, only begotten Son of God, yet was also made man, and was flesh of our flesh, the resurrection of those that are believers, and asleep in Christ, should come, Hebrews 2:14.

1 Corinthians 15:21

21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
