John 5:14 - Matthew Poole's English Annotations on the Holy Bible

Bible Comments

Jesus findeth him in the temple; walking in the outward court of the temple, or some part of it, where people ordinarily walked. He charges him to sin no more, lest a worse thing betided him; hereby letting him and us know that sin is the usual cause of diseases, and a holy walking the best preservative of health; and that God hath further revelations of his wrath against sin and sinners, than what do or can befall them in this life.

John 5:14

14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him,Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
