Through the knowledge of God— By the acknowledgment of God. Doddridge. The word Επιγνωσις, doubtless, sometimes signifies acknowledgment; but as it signifies knowledge in the next verse, and in many other texts of the New Testament, it seems most proper so to understand it here.
