Hebrews 8:2 - Coke's Commentary on the Holy Bible

Bible Comments

A minister of the sanctuary,— Των αγιων, of holy things, which seems preferable. In the next clause the apostle speaks of the holy places; and from that clause we are to borrow the word αληθινων, and to understand him as Christ's being a minister of the true holy things, and of the true, that is, the heavenly sanctuary. See Hebrews 8:5; Hebrews 9:1; Hebrews 9:11; Hebrews 9:24.John 1:14; John 2:19.
