I sent him— I have sent him. The Vulgate renders the word Σπουδαιοτερως, which we translate the more carefully, by festinantius,—the more speedily; which seems best to agree with the Apostle's design: nor is it unreasonable to suppose that this word should respect time, since all its conjugates frequently do.
