Psalms 149:5 - Coke's Commentary on the Holy Bible

Bible Comments

Let the saints be joyful in glory, &c.— Let the favoured ones exult in their heart. It is frequent with the psalmist to call upon כבודו kebodo, his soul, or heart, all that is within him, to praise the Lord; and therefore, as it is here joined with singing upon their beds, it seems to justify the translation given. As above he had called upon them to public joy, so here he calls them to rejoice within themselves while they were on their beds. Mudge. Possibly their beds here means nothing more than the couches on which they reclined while they partook of the sacrifice offered in thanksgiving for their victory.

Psalms 149:5

5 Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
