Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

Ver. 11. Who are called uncircumcision] In great scorn and reproach, as1 Samuel 17:26. Howbeit unregenerate Israel was to God as Ethiopia, Amos 9:7. And Jether, by nature an Ishmaelite, 1 Chronicles 7:17, was for his faith and religion called an Israelite, 2 Samuel 17:25 .
