And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush [was] not consumed.

And the bush was not consumed.] No more is the Church, whereof this is an excellent emblem, by the fire of tribulation, Isa 43:2 because of "the goodwill of him that dwelt in the bush." Deu 33:16
