Ver. 32. The glory of thy people Israel] Oh! pity their perverseness, and pray their conversion, that the Jews may call God Abba, the Gentiles Father,Daniel 12:11. There is a prophecy of the Jews' final restoration (saith Mr Case, God's waiting to be gracious), and the time is expressed, which is 1290 years after the ceasing of the daily sacrifice, and the setting up of the abomination of desolation; which is conceived to be about Julian's time, who assayed to rebuild the temple of the Jews, but was hindered from heaven. This was anno Dom. 360, to which if you add 1290 years, it will pitch the calculation upon the year 1650.
