And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

The light - `the lamp' (Isaiah 60:19-20). The direct light of God and the Lamb shall make the saints independent of God's creatures, the sun and moon.
