Here is but a shot account of Jehu. He reigned 28 years, but how little is said of him. We are told in general of his might, but nothing of his love to God. Alas! what is the sum total, in the lives of thousands, more than this! Oh! Lord! so teach me to number my days as to apply my heart unto wisdom. Psalms 90:12.

34 Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
35 And Jehu slept with his fathers: and they buried him in Samaria. And Jehoahaz his son reigned in his stead.
36 And the timel that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty and eight years.
